I guess I am screwed, freaking .com
Well, I had no idea before paying for my site, that I would be trapped in the worst site ever, wordpress.com.
I assume there are no refunds, but this site sucks. I can’t do anything, how easy is it and how much does it cost to get my dotcom domains off of this awful mess you call a blogging site. Dotorg seems great, I can get hosting no problemo.
Please put my mind at ease.
The blog I need help with is lastgetaway.com.
I’m sorry that you aren’t happy here. If there’s anything that we can do, I’d love to know.
As for your domains, they have unfortunately all passed the stated refund period, but you are welcome to keep your domain with us and update the nameservers to point to another hosting provider by following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#update-nameservers
After 60 days from the date of purchase, renewal, or nameserver change, you may also transfer your domain to another registrar: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#transfer-to-another-registrar
I’m sorry you don’t like it here. I don’t know what you mean by “I can’t do anything.” But if you purchased one or more domain mapping upgrades and 48 hours has not expired since that purchase you most certainly can get a refund.
We want you to love everything you do at WordPress.com, so we provide a 30-day refund on all of our upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. You can request a refund yourself directly from the Store section of your Dashboard. http://en.support.wordpress.com/upgrades/
I’m not sure your mind CAN be put at ease. It seems to default to negative, and inaccurate, assumptions. No wonder you find life difficult.
simultaneous typing – oops!
Thanks mac, this site is truly an awful piece of schet. I feel more than ripped off that wordpress.com is so disturbingly bad and sad I never tried to avoid it.
Certainly not happy.
Have a great day all.
I would say to raincoaster, to mind your own business, I am privately wealthy… and work around 10 hours a week.
I am the happiest dude you could ever meet, essentially all day, everyday.
