I just screwed something up. How do I revert to the previous version?

  1. revert to previous
    Blog url:

  2. Could you be a little more specific?

  3. Hi! Thanks for your reply. Really what I'm wondering is if there's any way to save "drafts" of your entire blog?

I know it's a living website, but I get really nervous about messing something up and not being able to revert back to the way it was.

Can I save previous versions somehow? Apart from exporting the entire blog and saving it that way?

If I mess up when editing something, can I revert back? I haven't found an "undo"/ctrl+z function in the dashboard.

  4. If I mess up when editing something, can I revert back?

See here > post revisions >
See also > page revisions >

  5. Perhaps you can save drafts of the entire blog, as you can with individual psots?

  6. Did you read what post and page revisions are and how you can restore them? There is an autosave feature and will store the last 25 revisions for each post or page on your blog. Revisions allow you to look back at the recent changes you’ve made and revert to an earlier version if necessary.

  7. Yes, thank you. That is very good to know; I hadn't found that before!

What I'm wondering--and maybe I'm crazy for even thinking of this--is whether you can revert back to a previous revision of the entire blog. Or can you only revert back to previous posts in isolation?

In other words, are any versions of the blog as a whole autosaved or saveable?

  8. You can Export the blog to make a backup of the entire thing. We recommend this, in fact, on a weekly basis.

  9. OK, that's the solution I found. I'll keep doing that.

    Thanks for your help!

  10. How I delete one of my blogs?:(((

Provided you are logged in under the username account that registered the blog you can delete it by using these instructions.
Please note that deleted blog URLs are not recycled.
Perhaps setting the blog to private is a better choice
