I need help with CSS Customization

  1. Hello!
    I am currently running a soccer website I am using the forever theme and I was wondering if there's any way I can switch the old posts "Entradas más Antiguas" text from italic to regular. As you can see when you scroll down and want to go to old post the words are on italic so I would appreciate any help possible!

    The blog I need help with is

  2. This thread will be moved to the CSS Forum for you. Please do not create a duplicate thread.

  3. Hey. In your custom CSS editor, try the following snippet:

    #content nav a {
    font-style: normal;

    Let me know if this works. :)

  4. I copied the snippet into my CSS editor and it worked perfectly. Thank you very much. I really appreciate it :)

  5. You're welcome. :)

  6. Hello once again!
    I just made a few posts with featured image so since every article that is created just let's you read a summary but it also gives you the keep reading or "Continuar Leyendo" in my website. but since the lettering is italic am wondering if you can create a CSS snippet with the text being regular and not italic. I will appreciate any help.

  7. Hey. Yes it would be:

    .more-link {
    font-style: normal;
  8. It works perfectly! Thank you very much :)

  9. Just one last thing!
    On the right hand side of my site under the search widget I have the recent posts "Últimas Noticias" widget. I am wondering if there's a CSS snippet to make "Últimas Noticias" centered and bolder. Thanks

  10. You can use the following snippet to do that:

    .widget .widget-title {
    font-weight: bold;
    text-align: center;

    Hope that helps. :)

    If you want to learn more about CSS and how to use it, here's a good introduction: I also strongly recommend Code School: Code School is a free site that lets you "learn by doing."

  11. Yes it works perfectly and am so happy with the results and changes you have help me make to my blog. I really appreciate it and yes I will indeed consider the introduction and code school of CSS. Thank you very much :)

  12. You're welcome. :) Glad you're happy with your blog.

  13. I was just checking a few details and I noticed that when somebody comments on one of my posts, the text of the name of the person that is posting is in italic lettering and I want to know if you can help me create the snippet! Thanks and here is an example of one of the comments

  14. * if you can help me create the snippet so that it can be regular text and not italic.

  15. The snippet would be:

    cite {
    font-style: normal;
  16. It worked amazing. Thanks!
    Now just one last thing, since you already made the name of the commenter to be regular instead of italic, is there a way to make a snippet for the picture of the person that posts to be squared instead of the circled that it shows? Thanks

  17. #comments .avatar {
    border-radius: 0;

  18. Perfect. It works amazing and I really appreciate all the help you have given me! Thanks :)

  19. Sorry for bothering again but I have another snippet request if you can help me please! I added some picture galleries to my blog and am wondering if you can create another snippet for me! It's about the text being italic but I want it regular lettering. You can see by going to "Lealtad Azul" on the menu bar and under the you can click on "Galería de Fotos" once you click on it, you can see the galleries and the text that I want to be regular and not italic is what says "Esta galeria contiene 14 fotos" I would appreciate if you can create the snippet to change the lettering from italic to regular. Thanks

  20. Hey, include the following snippet:

    dfn, cite, em, i {
    font-style: normal;
  21. P.S. You may find it useful to make use of your browser's inbuilt developer tools for any similar edits you want to make in the future. Please see here for a good tutorial:

    This will allow you to find the class name of the HTML element that the italic style is being applied to and to add the necessary snippet, in the following format:

    .classname {
    font-style: normal;
  22. Thank you very much. It works perfect and I appreciate all the help given to me by you. Thanks once again.

  23. Hello!
    I am wondering, is there a CSS snippet to make the Recent posts "Últimas Noticias" widget on my blog have a bullet like this ( • Text ) on every post but just particularly for that widget and not for the main posts. I would be happy for the help, thanks!

  24. bonjour j'ai laissé un message dans le forum hier aucune réponse, j'arrive de overblog et je voudrais le même design quelqu'un peut-il ma'aider

  25. vlogazul: Try the following:

    #secondary .widget > ul {
    list-style: disc inside;

    chevrettew13: Sorry, these are the English language forums. Please try the French language version:

  26. I already tried the snippet and it worked perfectly. Now I just want to know, is there a way to make the text of the posts of that widget aligned! For example as you can see on the "Últimas Noticias" widget I have the bullet point and the text like this:
    • Declaraciones de los seleccionados

    So I want to know if there's a snippet to make the tittle of those posts like this aligned:
    • Declaraciones de los seleccionados

    Hope you can help me and I tried posting in a different post but haven't gotten answer only by you on this thread which I really appreciate.

  27. * For instance, the word Declaraciones to align with the word celestes!
    and every post aligned.

  28. I've answered your question here: Thanks for your patience, this forum relies on volunteers so it can sometimes take some time for people to get back to you.
