I published a post, but my friend said it was not posted. Why?

  1. I published a post at 11:28 am. My friend told me that the post wasn't up when he checked at 1 pm and that he had to go in and publish the post at that time. I am wondering if there are regions that published posts dont show up in or why the post did not appear on the page when it said it was published?

The blog I need help with is

  2. What is the title of the post?

Go to posts > all posts in your dashboard and see if it is there. If it is, on the far right, does it say that it is published?

  3. Unfortunately, there's a recurring bug where some posts go out on the RSS feed and subscriptions, but don't show up on the blog. We can't seem to narrow down the cause, either. I recommend using an offline blog editor to post, so that if it doesn't go up at least you have another copy to paste in.

  4. You may be able to recover a post revision. Go to Posts > All Posts, hover over the title of the post, click Edit and check the Post Revisions module for previous saved versions of the post.

If you're not seeing the Revisions module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right corner of your Admin page) to activate it. Then select the post and page modules to include them. Then you ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post and recover it from post revisions.

If you cannot locate the post for locating and restoring a post revision, and it's not in your Trash folder then you will not be able to recover it.

Did you create your post on the dashboard of your own blog?
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

Or did you create your post on the front page of!/post/

Create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

Or use an offline blog editor so you always have backups on your own computer
