I purchased a domain through wordpress need help with domain
Purchased domain through wordpress thought I wanted to go to hostgator changed my mind. Changed my nameservers back after much reading. Now I think I need to change something else to get my page to come up in the browser. Please help. I am not proficient in word press at all. It is very complicated.
The blog I need help with is greatbigchoices.com.
it can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to reach the far corners of the internet
greatbigchoices.com. is behaving like it is mapped to greatbigchoices.wordpress.com – did you also buy the domain mapping upgrade – maybe in the last few hours? Domain helper does not show mapping so I am a bit confused
If you just changed the name servers you need to let the changes work across the internet
No Domain Mapping Found
There is no domain mapping upgrade for greatbigchoices.com. If you would like to use this domain you will first need to set up domain mapping.
I will flag this for the staff to help – they have some tools I don’t have and can also review your account – there are a couple of things I see that I don’t understand
When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors”. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.
If you still have trouble viewing the site after 72 hours has passed, please try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies:
If that doesn’t work, try clearing your local DNS cache:
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
Okay Thank you very much!! I will wait and see in 72 hours.
