REceived the following email about a new email registered to my website

    WordPress (email redacted) via p3nlhg866.shr.prod.phx3.secureserver.net

New user registration on your site PROTO PLANNING TRAVEL AGENCY:

    Username: Edcre23ne

    E-mail: (email redacted)

The blog I need help with is www.protoplanning.com.

Do you have additional authors who could have done this? Could someone know your password?

If I were you I would virus-scan my PC in case someone has a keylogger then remove the unwanted emails and change the password. Check users to see if someone has allowed additional administrators

    Two things –

    1) you have a WordPress.ORG install on your own host and you are not hosted on WordPress.COM (see below for more info)

    2) You have a Register option in your sidebar in the Meta Widget – anyone can click on that and register – not sure what they register for but the option is there (some sites require registration to comment) –

    More Info:

The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.

This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/

For more on the difference: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you are asking for help with a WordPress.COM site then we need a link to that site to give you accurate help.

    Thanks, @auxclass. You’re absolutely right!

@jillypepper, review what captnmike wrote and if you have any additional questions, please feel free to respond however keep in mind that I will be limited in the help that I can provide as I can only provide assistance with WordPress.com products!

    Best of luck!
