I want to be able to click on the sidebar and it take me to a gllery
Is this possible? I want viewers to have a tab on the sidebar they can click and it will take them to a gallery or portfolio of my work? I am not finding how to do this. Lots of gallery questions, but I’m either reading this wrong or not calling it by the correct termonology! Thank you!!!
The blog I need help with is crimsoncropper.wordpress.com.
You need to create a page for that. In the theme you’re using, you’ll automatically get the page tab in the header. If you want it in the sidebar as well, you can add the Pages widget.
Sorry about the duplication, I couldn’t figure out how to delete the other,
Ok, so I have the page, but then the pictures are only in a post type setting. Or am I still missing something? I want each photo to have its own ????. I know the correct word isn’t page because then there would be a ton of pages at the top. LOL. But I read the thread where you discussed how to use html to make over buttons. I can’t figure out why I would need that, but I want that. I want to be able to view a photo and then go to something else, a child page maybe?, and see the next photo.
Sorry for being a pain!
“Ok, so I have the page, but then the pictures are only in a post type setting”
Of course: posts and pages are exactly the same as far as what you can write in them is concerned.
“I want each photo to have its own ????”
Unfortubately the word is page: that word is used in several senses.
“there would be a ton of pages at the top”
Not necessarily: the header dislpays parent pages only.
“Sorry for being a pain!”
You’re not – the gallery feature is!
So. What I would suggest is: create a page; upload and insert independent images, not a gallery; use this after each one:
Can I marry you? Seriously! I am about to cry!!!! I totally get it now!!! THANK YOU!!!!! YOU ROCK!!!! But if I come back with more questions you will understand right? LOL!
