I want to stop processing
“We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed.”
after I tried to import a big file which was exported from another wordpress blog, the page of “import” remained as above for about several hours.
I can not import again now.And I do not want to wait for a whole day(much more, it seems that there will be no “reply”.I think it just failed and got stuck.)
Could someone can help me stop the processing?

I have this same problem on two of my blogs. How do I get someone to reset the importers?
By the way, it’s now three of my blogs (of 8). And I waited for a week and nothing changed. Last time I recreated the blogs individually.
It’s probably best NOT to do this on the weekend, as Support tends to be closed. If staff don’t happen to see it in this thread, you can contact them on Monday via your Dashboard Help button.
It happened the same with my blog (moleculasinestables.wordpress.com): I begun an import process from my other blog -also hosted on WordPress- that has been “processing” during a whole week… and still is.
I also would like my import process to be reset.

May I know if there is any way to solve the problem myself?
By the way,I think the problem is caused by large articles,because this time the file I tried to import only have two articles.
My problem seems to be random, and not caused by the files. For a research project, I have eight nearly identical blogs. I create one then import to the others. Most of them work fine, but three are now stuck “processing.” And there’s no difference in the imported files.I’ll try help on Monday morning.
i’m having the same problem. i contacted wp staff and they reset it for me AND asked me to email them the WP export file. i did as i was told but a week later and no response nor has the status of my import changed.
i’m wondering if it’s a bigger bug then they realized and they are trying to figure out the issue.
there were 37 posts i was trying to import. i don’t know if that is big or not – i didn’t think it was.
funny thing was that when i did the import from another site, it worked fine.
just doesn’t seem to work from wp to wp which is ironic.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

Hi, I couldn’t fix my problem yet. I also tried to import all the content from one of my blogs (aquihueleaazufre.wordpress.com) to another one (moleculasinestables.wordpress.com); and the status is still “processing”.
I would like that import process to be reset, and I wonder if you could begin a new (and hopefully a succesful) one: I tried it too many times, following the WordPress instructions, but I always find the same problem.

How long does it remains as “processing?”
A couple of weeks, since the last time I checked it. I almost gave up on it.
