I want to talk to a live person.

Do any real people exist at WordPress? Where is the phone number!!!?
    Blog url: http://tamingoftheshoebox.wordpress.com/

The blog I need help with is tamingoftheshoebox.wordpress.com.

There is no phone support and every Volunteer answering questions here is a live human being. Please simply state what you need help with. If we Volunteers cannot assist we will flag the thread for Staff attention.

Unfortunately with over 54 million blogs, WordPress.com doesn’t provide phone support. If you’re having a problem that can’t be fixed by us volunteers here on the forum, check out http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ to file a support ticket. There’s a team of Happiness Engineers on the other end that will be glad to help you!

Why are you echoing me? I have answered questions here for 6 1/2 years.

P.S. The support link you just posted redirects all who try to use it right back to this foumd. Staff have disabled the support link again as they are on one of their meetups until July 23rd. The only members who can use that link are those who have upgrades on their blogs.

ok, so I have my own domain (http://tamingoftheshoebox.com) but I want to be able to add posts and pics from my iPhone so I activated WordPress from the cPanel on my web hosting cPanel. I was figuring that in order to do mobile posts it would have to be to WordPress site that was linked to my own (unless there’s some kind of WordPress feed that I can get to show up on my personal domain that I’m unaware of).

From my domain’s cPanel I created WordPress Page (http://tamingoftheshoebox.com/theShoeBox/) which apparently is case sensitive and won’t work if “theshoebox” is at the end). Anyway, my real problem is that in the dashboard I want to create pages that I can link to from my main site and the page I created should be http://tamingoftheshoebox.com/art/ but it just plops over to my domain’s home page, not what I wanted (I want to keep my main site and main pages as is-I do not want to change the Name Servers because I like the design software available with my hosting company). I also want to be able to have a navigation bar that I can custom link back to my main domain for my other main topics and home page.

    Hopefully that all makes sense.

I activated WordPress from the cPanel on my web hosting cPanel.

This site http://tamingoftheshoebox.com/theShoeBox/ is not being free hosted by wordpress.com. This forum is only for those who have free hosted wwordpress.com blogs. You need to post to http://wordpress.org/support/

@timethief – Sorry! We must have been writing at the same time. No offense intended. I’m trying to become more active here on the forums.

    Hey there,
Welcome aboard. You will find that we have a crew of regular Volunteers with a wide variety of backgrounds who have been answering questions here for years. :)

I have a free wordpress site: tamingoftheshoebox/wordpress.com I’m just trying to figure out how to use them together

This empty blog which contains not blogger created content is free hosted by wordpress.com. Take note of the URL http://tamingoftheshoebox.wordpress.com/

This site http://tamingoftheshoebox.com/theShoeBox/ is not being hosted by wordpress.com.

Ok I see what you mean but I can’t find where I can make a post. I don’t have time to look through thousands of other people’s posts just to find that no one has an answer for what I want to do. Are there people that reply as quickly as you do?

    Lots of them.

If you want to learn to blog on your WP.com blog, look at http://learn.wordpress.com. We can’t help with the other one at all.

Yayah but I’m using the dashboard by WordPress so it has to do with issues with how the dashboard is working. When I add the pages from the dashboard it doesn’t work correctly & I want to make a nav bar where I can edit the links & where the nav bar navigates to…all in WordPress’ dashboard so that has nothing to do with my hosting company.

Indeed it does have to do with the hosting company.

Please carefully read what timethief posted a bit ago:

Note: answers on the wp.com forum here will not apply to your self-hosted blog.
