icon with URL

  1. I don't know the proper term for this, but when my blog is open on its main page, a tiny copy of my icon picture (yellow daffodils) is included just before the URL of the page. This tiny picture also appeared on my the Firefox tab for that particular page AND next to the URL of My Dashboard page and tab.

However, this tiny icon no longer appears next to the URL of my dashboard nor on the tab. This icon made it easy to find my blog tab among all the other tabs I usually have open with Firefox, and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to get my pretty icon back :) It is of course not an urgent or dramatic problem.

The blog I need help with is

  2. That's what refers to as a blavatar. It's also known as a favicon. It you click this link you will arrive in a post on my blog that has 2 videos that explain them and how to set them up. Avatar, Gravatar, Blavatar

  3. Thanks, but what I don't understand is that my favicon USED to be there and it still is, but not everywhere where it used to be until very recently. And I never had to add it manually, WordPress did it themselves. Anyway, it's no big deal, I was just curious. Thanks :)

  4. If it didn't show up in the address bar and tabs when someone was on the pages of my blog, I would be pestering staff. Not showing up when I'm in my dashboard - that only I see? Not worth my time.

  5. It's just practical when you have tons of tabs open at the same time, that's all.

  6. @lulu13
This weekend Staff have been upgrading the system and some of the upgrades have affected dashboard functions, etc. Here's the link to let them know about the disappearance of your blavatar >
