ideation and indent theme - issue with images

  1. My images are not showing up on the main page or sidebar for someone reason. Is there a bug here?

The blog I need help with is

  2. Consult the theme description please:

A custom Images sidebar has been built into Ideation & Intent. This sidebar will display images from the latest 10 posts that have image attachments. Up to 8 images will be displayed for each post and each image links directly to the post it is attached to.

Did you embed images into your posts and are they in your Media Library?

  3. Yes, I am using images from my Media Library. These images were already on my site (and showing up fine) but I deleted the Posts so I could start over and rearrange the order. I'm simply clicking on 'New Post' and adding them from my Media Library. But they are not visible on the site. Seems like a bug?

  4. I'll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  5. I restored images from the Trash and those worked! And when I upload a new image, that works. Just can't seem to pull (with success every time) from the Media Library.

  6. Hi there,

For an image to be displayed in the sidebar, it needs to be attached to one of the latest 10 posts on your blog. If the image is already in your Media Library, it might already be attached to a different post — in which case it won't become attached to the new post, even if you insert the image into that post.

You can check to see what blog post an image is attached to by going to your Media Library under Media > Library in your dashboard. In the "Uploaded to" column, you will see the name of the blog post that image is attached to.

If you want to make sure an image is attached to a particular post, you can upload the image again when you insert it into a new post. That way it will be attached to that new post.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

  7. I think this answers my question - thanks!
