    Hi

I’m looking to purchase a custom domain from wordpress.com.

    For example. abc.com

Will I be able to customize it’s dns and have a meme.abc.com as well?

So I will have a abc.com pointing to my wordpress.com site
and a meme.abc.com pointing to my tumblr blog.

And if it is possible, do I only pay for abc.com or do I need to pay for both?

    Thank you so much :D

The blog I need help with is leetucksing.wordpress.com.

On WordPress.com, you can use a subdomain of a domain that you already own as your blog’s domain. Mapping a subdomain with the Domain Mapping Upgrade costs $13.00 per subdomain, per blog, per year. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/

    Hi timethief

sorry I think my question was phased badly.

I was trying to ask if I purchase abc.com for my wordpress blog.

can I tweak with it’s DNS to have happy.abc.com for my tumblr blog too?

because if I purchased from namecheap

I can have abc.com pointing to my wordpress.com and have a pictures.abc.com pointing to my tumblr account. I am wondering if this is possible if I purchased my domain here.

    Thank you.

I don’t think so, but I’m not sure and nobody else seems to know so I’ll flag this for staff attention. They will know.

Try to create the subdomain on the site that you bought the domain. and after that to forward it to your blog dns (to wordpress.com).

Have a look at this Support doc on Custom DNS. Perhaps it will answer your question:
