When I can finally get an image to insert in a post, it now always aligns left even if I set it to align centre.
Still can’t centre align images. is it just me?
How are you setting alignment? I gave up on using anything but the column alignments. They seem to override everything, so try that.
I set it to centre when I upload the picture, but the insert into post never works, so I copy the url and use the insert image, (which doesn’t seem to have a centre image, just middle). I then use the centre text button, (is that what you mean by column?) but it does nothing anymore. I suppose the code might work.
Yes, they changed the code recently.
I always just get the image in any old way, and once it’s there, click to select it, click on the centre text button. It has always worked for me in FF and IE.
The code it gives me is, for my latest post:
<p style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://worldfilm.about.com/library/weekly/aafpr041503.htm" target="_blank"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4041" src="http://raincoaster.wordpress.com/files/2008/04/no-face.jpg?w=250" alt="No Face. Iz not so bad akshuly. Iv stil got my poet tree" width="250" height="135" /></a></p>
That centers the image and makes it open in a new window. Oh, I meant to eliminate that imgclass thing; it ALWAYS overrides things. Just strip it out of your code and you might find things are easier for you.
So the bare bones code with no link but centred would be:
<p style="text-align:center;"><img src="IMAGE URL HERE"/></p>
It is not adding the code when centre text is clicked. Adding manually works.
Interesting. Wonder why the difference. For once my 20th century computer does something right.
