Image format change… new style tag?

    In the last few days, images inserted into my posts are displaying very badly. It used to be that I’d insert an image and the text would be above and below it. Now the text is next to the images, and images are all jumbled together at the bottom of the page.

    I’ve fixed it by manually editing the HTML to remove the Style tag. Before editing, the HTML for an image looked like this:

    <img class=”alignleft size-full wp-image-697″ title=”trevi fountain 3 sm” src=”” alt=”” width=”192″ height=”260″ />

    I believe the problem is in the class tag wp-image-697… in last months’ posts the images didn’t have the unique number at the end of the tag, and when I remove all that, it works like it used to.

    What changed?

    <img class=”alignleft…” is what is causing your text to be next to the image.
    There are various ways images are aligned:
    image will be on the left and text below
    image will be on the left with text next to it
    image will be in the center with text below
    image will be on the right with text next to it

    The “insert image” function remembers what you used last for alignment (and size thumbnail, medium, large, full) so perhaps you accidentally changed that and now your pictures are being inserted with alignleft.
