Image size problems in sidebar

    Hi y’all

    Newbie here. I have tried hard to follow all the advice/FAQs, but I can’t work out how to put just a small image into the sidebar on my page: keithmansfield.wordpress.com

    I’ve put a text widget into the top of the sidebar and have tried (but clearly failed) to insert the right image code. My first attempt showed just the very left-hand-side of a huge version of the picture I wanted. So I have been on photoshop and reduced the size of the image to very small and re-uploaded. But I still seem to have just the left-hand side of a huge image, only now the resolution is a lot less!

    Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

    Thanks so much

    give a different name to the small one (for example “small-pub.jpg”) and upload it, then put following code into your text widget:
    <img src="http://keithmansfield.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/small-pub.jpg" width="160px" alt="a short description of the image" />
