images' HTML is being removed by visual editor

  1. postmodernquaker

Switching to Visual mode (rather than Text) in the editor causes images to be stripped out. These are images that were inserted with the editor's tools, so the associated HTML was created by the editor itself, but the HTML containing the link to the image is consistently removed when I switch from the Text to the Visual mode (which I do so that I can easily change the "Advanced" settings -- border, target, etc. -- for the image). This suddenly began happening today: it never happened until now. I've been using the same theme ("Under the Influence") for quite a while and have made no changes.

Update: the problem happens with Firefox (version 15.0), but it does not occur with the Chromium browser (version 18.0.1025.168) -- both running under Kubuntu 12.04 LTS.

Resolved: removing the Ghostery (2.8.2) extension from Firefox appears to have solved the problem.

  4. Thanks for sharing the solution. It's appreciated. :)
