We use WP.com to run a group student blog. The plan was to have students create posts, editors review them and then pending any changes, editors would schedule them for publishing. It sounded good in theory, but in practice we've struck a problem. We set students with the contributor permissions level, but that means they can't include images in their posts as those settings are disabled at that user level - and pictures are important.
If I increase their permissions to Author to allow them to post images, then no amount of requests stops them from hitting 'publish' and we then end up with posts going out that haven't been reviewed. We don't want that.
Is there any way (without going to self-hosted install) to allow either: 1) contributors to include images or 2) stop authors from publishing? I'm hoping there's something I've missed as this seems a strange scenario to be facing!
Thanks for any help!
The blog I need help with is flindersarchaeology.com.
