Imagine A World Without Bees

  1. June 13, 2011 A World Without Bees
Can you imagine a world without bees? Entomologists are studying the reasons behind an enormous bee die off. They call it Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), and if they cannot find a solution the 80% of fruits and vegetables that require pollination may not make it to market. Places bees can forage for pollen without being poisoned by pesticides have dramatically declined, and the cause of CCD appears to be related to diseases from pesticides, but no one is certain.

TT, this has been happening for about the last 3 -4 year's and i have watched several programe's about it. I seen diseases from pesticides mentioned to but the hunt still goe's on. It's not only the bee's, it's the plant's etc that will not be able to grow with out pollination, and a lot of cure's for illness's come from plant's.

No food, no cure's, it's the end of the world.

  3. Industrialized farming and herbicide and pesticide use are not the only STRESS factors affecting the honey bees. There are others too and I have them in my post. I've been involved in some programs aimed at increasing habitat for both the imported honeybees and the native bees here for a few years now. I'll be blogging about what we do soon but right now I'm up to my eyeballs doing a contracted job. What did you think of the video in my post?

The video was great to read and watch. Year's ago i used to kill bee's that came into the house, but this past 5 - 6 year's i put them out a window or door because they are needed

  5. I'm so glad you liked the video. I thought it was very well done and that's why I shared it. :)
