Import from Tumblr is not working
I connected to my Tumblr account to import its contents into my WordPress.com blog, I get a confirmation email but in the dashboard it cycles continuously (for over 24 hours now) on “in progress” and the Tumblr’s content never loads to the blog.
The blog I need help with is smartercitieschallenge.wordpress.com.

You attempted to import from a site that did not have any content at the time you started the import:
Also, it doesn’t appear that you connected your WordPress.com site to Tumblr yet:
If you like, I can reset the import for you if you want to connect to a different Tumblr blog that has content.

That’s not right – I do have one post on my Tumblr page (it’s a test post that says “testing for SCC blog,” and it is connected to WordPress (I’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting several times, and I currently see an “In progress” message under Action/Status. Please go back and look at it again and see if you can help me. Thanks!
You started the import prior to the addition of the test post, which is why nothing was imported. I’ve reset your import and you can start it again at your convenience.
However, if you’re trying to use “import” as a way to have anything posted to that Tumblr account to be automatically added to WordPress as it’s posted, that’s not how the import feature works. Importing is a one-time function that will bring in content from an export file that you’ve exported from another blogging service. There is no way to set up auto-posting from Tumblr or any other service to WordPress.com.
You can create posts on your WordPress.com account and have them auto update your Tumblr account by enabling Publicize for Tumblr. Here’s more information on that particular service:
I hope that clarifies things. Let me know if you have any further questions.
