import subscribers to new blog

  1. I just moved my blog (self-hosted) to a blog using the import/export feature. It moved the posts and comments. But the subscribers and site stats did not get imported. Is there any way to get the subscribers to move to my blog? And stats? My domain name has remained the same:

The blog I need help with is

  3. is definitely hosted at I also paid to have the domain mapping so that I could keep my url: (without having my url change to but everytime I type in the it goes to my blog but quickly changes to in the address box. Is there any way to change that? so that it just reads I guess I thought that's what I was paying the additional $ for.
THanks so much for any help you can provide. I appreciate it.

  4. Hi,

In order for the domain name to show up, you'll need to change your primary domain from to You can do that here:

As for the subscribers, did you have the Jetpack plugin installed on your "old" blog?

  5. Hi Coffeeman,
Yes, I believe that I did have the Jetpack plugin installed on the "old" blog.

I will try the other suggestion you had for me regarding the domain name.

Thanks for your help, I hope there's a way to get my subscribers, I'll keep my fingers crossed, Eva

  6. OMG Coffeeman, you are a certifiable genius! I changed my primary domain name, and poof! it worked like a dream.

Can't thank you enough. Ok, one down, one to go. I look forward to hearing from you regarding the lost "subscribers". Best, Eva

  7. I don't know what you mean by lost subscribers. Followers using the Reader cannot be transferred. Only your email subscribers can be transferred by Staff. Also note that stats cannot be transferred.

  8. yes, they were email subscribers. Is there a way to transfer the email subscribers? Thank you.

  9. You must install and activate the JetPack plugin on your install. Then Staff will transfer the email subscribers from for you to for you.

  10. I have just moved my blog from to, so I don't believe I can install the jetpack plugin on any longer, since I have "closed" that blog and deactivated my fatcow hosted blog. I wanted to move the email subscribers I had on my .org over to my .com. I'm sorry if I didn't explain that correctly before.

PS. even though my blog has the url it is a blog, I paid the extra fee (for mapping) so I could keep that url.

  11. I have transferred your subscribers as requested.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

  12. macmanx, I can't thank you enough. Rock on.

  13. You're welcome!
