My Blogger posts did not import properly. I cannot see any photos or texts or comments. Could you assist me please? I see with other uses your had to empty the posts and I would have to do it over again.

I have not changed anything other than the categories and I do not have any new posts. I also have not been able to locate the “Export” function in Blogger. Can you assist?

The blog I need help with is easbrooke.wordpress.com.

Do I still need to clear out the old posts before I can export the new file? I am still not seeing any texts or photos.

Ok. Thanks again, timethief. Do I need to use the export function that requires the xml file? Is that the best way? I gave WordPress the option during the first import and have tried the file upload in another option (though the original import is still there).

Yes. It is the only way. http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

    Hi there,

Just to clarify, there are two ways to import your blog from Blogger: Coming from Blogger?

However, if you run into trouble with the automagic import, we recommend trying to do it manually by exporting an XML file from Blogger and uploading that to your WordPress.com blog.

I took a look at your blog, and it looks like everything imported correctly this time! If you need any further help with this, just let me know. :)

Thanks, rachelmcr! I really appreciate all the help. The support has been very quick and helpful! Timethief was a great help. :)

jotheblond — I just deleted everything manually. You can do this quickly by clicking “All Posts” and selecting all the posts and doing a batch delete. (It’s relatively quick. I had over 250 posts, which was about 14 pages of posts I had to batch delete.)

Then, I went to Blogger and selected “Settings, Export,” just as timethief shared above. This will allow you to download an html file. After that, you go back to WordPress and go to the import from Blogger area, except scroll to the bottom to upload the html file instead of the first option of allowing WordPress to “magically” import the posts.

    Good luck!
