Importing Media to New Site Times Out – HELP!

    “It’s your content; you can do whatever you like with it.” This is the first line of the Export Your Content to Another Blog or Platform post in the Support Forum.

    I’d love to do whatever I want with it, but I can’t.

    I’ve followed all of the guidelines to a T and the download of all my media from my old site to my new site keeps timing out.

    I also paid for the guided transfer service to find out that you are paying for your entire old site to be moved to a new host – rather than moving the content and media to a newly designed site.

    I don’t want my old site, that’s why I’m moving.

    I want my new site with my old site’s content and media.

    This should be a very simple FTP transfer but I guess I’m locked out. I’ve read dozens of other posts and threads of other users having the same problem.

    WordPress, I love you. You are a great platform. I’ve played by all the rules, paid for all the upgrades, and now it’s time for me to go to WordPress.org – there’s gotta be a better way.

    Help!?
