How can one add text that was typed up from a word processing program (such as Apple’s pages) and keep the same formatting that was created through the word processing program?

The blog I need help with is accessiblyliveoffline.wordpress.com.

    Hello,

If you do need to paste content from you can paste it directly into the Visual Editor in WordPress.com. Not all formatting will carry over cleanly, so you may need to tweak some settings.

Not all formatting created in a word processor will be reproduced when pasting into WordPress.com’s editor. Using Chrome as your browser is the best way to ensure the majority of your formatting transfers over.

    Hello,

The visual editor is the default editing mode of WordPress.com, but if it does not appear to be enabled, you can select the Visual tab in the top right corner of the editor area, you can view a visual of this and more information on this topic here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/

    Hello
I have run into formatting issues using cut and paste in the past. I have found that the best way is to select the text, either cut or copy the original, then use the “Paste as text” button in the visual editor as seen here:

This stands a better chance of keeping your formatting, BUT WILL filter out incompatible formatting.

    best,
