I am looking to use CSS to decrease the amount of dead space/margins on the left & right sides of my website (http://yankeesfansunite.com). However, I have been unable to figure out how to do it. Can I have some help please?
Mystique is 940px wide, which is nearly as wide as you would want to go with a fixed width theme since there are still over 1/5th (20%+) of web users on 1024px wide monitors. If you make it much wider than 990px, then people on 1024px wide monitors will have to scroll horizontally to see your entire site, and that is one of the top 10 things web users detest the most.
The other issue with Mystique is that some of the theme design elements are actually images, so that means to widen things you have to recreate all those images (the background for the title/date, background for widget titles if you muck with the width of those, etc.
