Insert images and videos

  1. Since yesterday when I add a new post the options above the text box "Upload/insert" don't include the buttons to insert photos and videos (Honestly I can't tell if there is any other missing as these are the only two I usually use). I'm sure they used to be there as I use them often. It allows me to insert/upload media, and through that I can insert images, but it is not the same thing.
    Can anyone help me?

The blog I need help with is

  2. The notification about the new media came out well after it was active on my blog last night which was really frustrating, (maybe that is because I'm in Europe and you were catering to another time zone) AND I can't get it to work. I have a post sitting there, ready and waiting, and whenever I click on the new insert media link the screen just goes gray and no drop box or option to select files is available. Is this only a problem for me? My theme is delicious design.

Will you please provide us with some details so we can try to help you?

    1. How are you connecting to the internet and to The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.

    2. Are you using http:// or https:// see

3.Which browser and version of it are you using?

    4. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies?

    5. Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here.

    6. Do you have third party cookies enabled?

    7. Do you have JavaScript enabled?

    8. Do you have another browser you can try?

P.S. IMHO this probably has nothing to do with living in Europe. From what I can tell based on over 5 1/2 years here, announcements rarely precede changes.

  4. I became part of the discussion on the topic "new media forums NOT WORKING" and by clearing out my cache, cookies, and changing to chrome it's working for me now. Hope it stays that way. Thanks.

That is drastic. I use IE for software development reasons and it must work with IE.

  6. Anyone coming to this thread having issues with the uploader in IE, check to see if you have the "Microsoft Silverlight extension" installed and active. If you do, try temporarily disabling it and see if you can then upload and insert images.

  7. @timethief I had already seen that page you sent me.
Just so that I can confirm, the visualization has changed, right? And what used to be separately in the "insert/upload images button" and "insert/upload videos button" is now together in the "upload/insert media button".
Where can I get information about all the changes (so that I'm sure I've noticed them all?)
