Insert picture in comments

  1. Hi! I'd like to insert a picture along with my comment. I can't seem to paste...

The blog I need help with is

  2. You can submit the URL for an image in a comment. Then it's up to the blogger who receives that comment to choose whether or not to display it in the post when they moderate the comment. allows you and your readers to embed YouTube videos, tweets from Twitter, and PollDaddy polls directly into blog comments by simply adding a single URL into the comment text.

Of course, if a reader embeds an inappropriate video, tweet or poll on your blog, you are free to remove the link or delete the entire comment, just as you are with other comments.

  3. Images are not allowed in comments because people could insert absurdly large images that could, at the very least, severely slow down the site, and at the very most, virtually blow up the site (too big and destroys the layout).

  4. Thanks a bunch!

  5. You're welcome from me. :)

  6. I was just looking for the answer to this question and came across this thread. I'm able to post photos hosted on flickr by copying and pasting the HTML/BB Code into the comment box. I use the medium or small size and it links back to flickr. My question is what is the code for inserting a photo that is hosted elsewhere? For example an image on another website. How can I insert the url for the photo?

  7. To clear something up: you can't insert images (plus there's a lot of other things you can't do) when commenting on someone else's blog. When you comment on your own blog you can do almost anything you can do in a post. See here:

  8. Thanks for the clarification! The code is very handy. Sometimes when replying to a comment on my blog, I like to use a photo to expand or update the topic of the post. Did not realize the flickr pix in comments worked only for one's own blog!

  9. Ah, interesting. Thanks. I just tried to insert an image yesterday, and assumed it wouldn't work here so I just stuck the URL in.

  10. The Admin of a blog, or Authors and Editors can insert images into their comments. Also your readers can post links to their images wherever they are hosted online, then you can edit their comments to insert the image/images yourself when you approve comments if you wish to.
