Inserting a table…

I would like to insert a table (made in Word Perfect) in a post – If I try to upload it as a PDF file, and try to insert it, the table doesn’t show up, instead there’s just a clickable link that leads to it, which is NOT what I’m looking for.

I am wondering if the only way to do it is paste the table in a photo software such as PHotoshop and THEN inserted as a figure?

Is there any other simpler way to do this?

    thank you….

The blog I need help with is

PDF’s won’t show up wordpress blogs since there is no PDF interpreter in the backend.

You can try scribd, which will show spreadsheets/word documents in web pages.

The only other way is to convert the table into HTML and then copy the table code and paste it into the HTML tab in the editor. Do be aware that you have a limited width in the post and page content areas, so wide spreadsheets aren’t going to work well.

I where insert Table of Contents is but I can’t get beyond it telling me it can’t find a table. Isn’t this supposed to be automatic?

@mitchelosborne, sorry, you need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.

These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently.

If you do not know the difference, see this support document: .

Thanks so much, I will probably do something a little different and adapt my post to a “clickable link” instead.

It’s good to know what can and cannot be done, though…
