Inspiration Blog with Designs you can share... I want your help!

  1. I'm just getting going with my new blog Inspired Type, "where good thoughts are designed". Can you take a look? I'd love to know what you think and get some encouraging comments. Can you share or re-post my designs, comment, and help me spread good thoughts?

The blog I need help with is

  2. I like your designs. Are all the images your own? I don't see any copyright attributions and/or watermarking so that's why I am asking.

  3. I'm a Graphic Designer and the designs are all my own personal work. I have included that information in my "About" page, but you do have to read down to get to it. Perhaps I should make that more prominent.

Most of my work is graphic based, using my own illustration, photos and customized typography. The only exception is the stock images incorporated in my motivation series, and the stock license permits derivative work.

Thank you for your feedback, and taking time for a look at my blog.

  4. Timethief, based on your observation, I'm wondering about this:

I have a widget titled "Use and Copyright", that includes the following —

    Use and Copyright
You are free to share or re-post. Please attribute with credit to Susan Alexander, and including a link to the Inspired Type blog is always appreciated. All content is the sole property of Susan Alexander, and is protected by a Creative Commons License. ...

I'm wondering if it's hard to find or understand that info on my blog?

Thanks again for the checking out my inspiration designs.

  5. Great designs

  6. @inspiredtype
It's not hard tio understand but sadly image theft is common and that's why I mentioned watermarking.

  7. @inspiredthoughts
I love your images and want to Spread good thoughts! so I just published a shoutout post that has two backlinks to your blog.

  8. I've been hesitant to add watermarking, because I don't like having other disclaimer copy covering on top of my artwork.

I have been adding copyright info into the Meta data in photoshop, imbedded in the jpg files. But I just downloaded my own image from my blog, and I'm shocked to discover that the Meta info was not retained in the copy! Yikes.

I'm not sure how to proceed. I'll check out your copyright and watermarking links. Thank you so much for all the help.

And, thank you again for helping to spread good thoughts :~)
