Internet Explorer 9 – IE9 / WordPress not displaying properly

IE9 incompatibilities: A wordpress hosted site I’ve created – – is not displaying correctly in IE9, yet is perfect in Chrome and Firefox. I just tried the “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” which didn’t work. I want to use the Sunspot theme, but I’ve noticed it happens to some other themes too (eg: PianoBlack), yet some themes are fine. Is there a solution – other than changing themes or using Firefox or Chrome (as I do)? Many non-technical folk unfortunately stick with the default Windows browser as they don’t know any better.

During testing with another WP blog, I also noticed the slideshow feature doesn’t work in IE9, or the Facebook/twitter links at the bottom of posts.

I’ve noticed many other non-wordpress sites, including of all sites – – have problems too (and still won’t work in compatability mode), it seems to be an IE 9 problem, I’ve read possiblly a font or CSS issue.

Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

The blog I need help with is

    Anyone? tap tap. Hello?

I’ve now changed the template to Parament. At least the content is now mostly displaying correctly in IE9, except the “Share this” and “Like this” sections at the bottom of each page, which appears as a few dots. There also seems to be an issue with posting comments in IE9, as in … you can’t.
The email reply form on the contact page appears to be working correctly.

I’d like to say thanks for the support, but ….

Please let me know what you mean by your site is not displaying correctly using the Sunspot theme in IE 9. Are you having issues other than the Share and Like buttons? When you say the slideshow doesn’t work, does it load at all, or do you get a blank screen, or… ?

Please be as specific as you can when you say things don’t work, so we can be on the same page. It would be very useful if you could post links to screenshots of your issues here as well.

Also, does everything clear up when you switch browsers, or do some of these issues persist?

Thanks for the reply jackiedana :)

I’ve created a page with screenshots HERE:

You won’t be able to see it in IE 9 though – well, I can’t at least :O
And yes, as I said, everything works perfectly in Chrome and Firefox.
