Invitation acceptances not showing up on Users list

I have a problem that I send follower invitations to my Blog but, when people accept, some don’t show as accepted on my Users list so I can’t tell how many people accepted
Some of them do get my New Post messages by EMail and accept with no problems but some don’t show up on my list after they accept.. I’ve tried accepted my own invitations from a different eMail address and exactly the same thing happens to me.
Has anyone come across this before? The WordPress support staff haven’t been able to figure it out.
I just suspect this may be an underlying WordPress problems and it’s happening to lots of Bloggers, but they just assume people didn’t accept the invitation

It happens to me too. Very frustrating!
Ditto here. I get the invitation, accept it, I show up as ‘accepted’ on the Users/Invite section of the admin dashboard, but I never get into the ‘all users’ group.
is there a workaround where I can just promote somebody?
