Inviting followers to follow.

    I enter a valid email address in the invitation to follow page and when I click ‘send invite’ it tell me that it was an invalid address but still enters it on the invited list. How do I know if it has been sent?

    How many username accounts do you have?

    Are you logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog your are issuing an invitation from?

    You must be logged in under the exact same username account that created any blog to access it.

    Also note that you have two separate email address settings at

    Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.

    Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.



    Hi timethief – thanks for the suggestions. I’ve now been through all the points you raise but to no avail. So:
    1) I’m on the same username account – we only have one
    2) We have 5 blogs in the account – only one active – the other 4 were set up when we were experimenting trying to set it up – I don’t seem to be able to get rid of them. Any tips?
    3) Both email settings are the same.
    I’ve also just heard that an email invitation that I was told ‘could not be sent’ arrived but did not respond to the acceptance.
    What now? All thoughts gratefully received…..
