iPad display issues in Landscape mode

My website looks great when I view it on an iPad in Portrait mode. but as soon as I switch it to Landscape mode, it looks terrible, the pictures don’t align and the writing is in the wrong places.
I am using Apostrophe theme, and have activated the mobile options in the theme.
Is there anything that can be done to fix this? It seems like it should automatically fix itself between Portrait and Landscape like every website on earth, but maybe not an option for WordPress?

Works perfectly on desktop site, and can live with the iPhone view, but iPad Landscape is wrong.

    Appreciate any help.

    thanks
    Peter

The blog I need help with is petersfoodadventures.com.

Does anybody know? Anybody else having iPad Landscape issues?
Maybe I should post on my pages telling people that it needs to be viewed only in Portrait mode?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

I am using Apostrophe theme, and have activated the mobile options in the theme.

Display the mobile theme. Apostrophe is a fully responsive magazine theme that’s a pleasure to read from any device.

The mobile ready theme is a default theme and a completely different theme that you do not need to enable at all, if your theme is listed as a responsive layout theme here https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/responsive-layout/ Its’ provided for those who run older themes that aren’t the gold standard which is responsive layout.

A responsive layout theme adapts to different screen sizes so that your website will work (and be optimized for) iPhones, iPads, Android and other mobile devices. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.

When we use a responsive theme we disable the mobile theme. Go to > Appearance > Mobile and disable the mobile theme

You can read more in the support docs at https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/mobile-themes/

YIKES! I made an error above.

    EDIT: Disable the mobile theme.

    Thanks for your reply.
I have gone into Appearance > Mobile and have disabled the mobile theme. This has not made a difference to how my page displays in Landscape view on an iPad.

When viewed in Portrait Mode or on my desktop, my posts look the same. I have 4 photos, they are square and are in 2 rows or 2 photos.

    X X
    X X

    Like the X’s above.
But when I view the posts in Landscape the photos and writing re-arrange themselves to look like this.

    X X
    X
    X

This viewed in Landscape mode looks messy and like it’s not put together properly.

Do you have any other thoughts?
Most of my posts start with 4 photos. Here is an example of a link that it happens to
