Is there live phone support to purchase upgrades (Domain mapping)?

    I’m trying to purchase domain mapping to eliminate the “wordpress.com” from my domain but my card won’t go through. Is there a way to speak with someone from wordpress about it who can help complete the transaction?

    There is no phone support here. The only two methods of payments for upgrades are major credit cards from approved countries and PayPal from supported countries. I have flagged this thread for Staff attention. Please be patient while waiting.

    You might welcome it but I sure wouldn’t. I have been here for 6 3/4 years and that’s a hell of a lot longer than most support Staff have worked here.

    I can see that support Staff have a lengthy backlog. I can likewise see what’s posted into the Staff Questions forum. The majority of threads posted there are questions that have all been asked and answered before on this support forum as evidenced by the threads in the forum searchbox. That’s not to mention the support documentation which conteins the answers as well.

    If those bloggers had not searched the either support forum or the support documentation but had posted to this peer support forum, they would have had their answers provided by Volunteers within minutes of posting threads. That is why I strongly disagree with you.

    The only two methods of payments for upgrades are major credit cards from approved countries and PayPal from supported countries. Debit cards are not accepted. If you have issues with either your credit card or with PayPal, WordPress.com support Staff cannot sort them for you. It’s up to you to sort your own issues with either your credit card provider or with PayPal.

    It looks like Paypal is the source of your transaction issues. You’ll want to contact them to get an explanation for why your card isn’t going through.

    Okay… I thought I had tried both a credit card and, when that didn’t work, tried to use Paypal. I’ll try again. Thanks.
