iTheme 2 featured image issue

Hello! I’m hoping someone here can help me. I was looking around the support area and couldn’t find any fix instructions for this specific problem…
What’s happening is, I’m setting a post as a sticky post so it will go to the slider on my home page with a featured image. That looks great, but then the post on my blog ends up looking like this:
What I did was insert the image I wanted in the posting area. Then, under the “Featured Image” area, I selected the same image, but did not insert. Regardless, the this random portion of the featured image is posting all on its own above the individual post. I would be OK with it if it was the entire image (then I just wouldn’t insert the image in the posting area), but it’s not.
I’m hoping that somehow I can delete the random portion appearing above the post, or that there’s some way to make that appear in full so I don’t have to insert it separately.
Does anyone know a fix?
