I always suggest bloggers make the blog “private” because they may want to use it again one day in the future and deleted blog URLs here are not recycled. That’s why it takes ignoring 3 warnings and then clicking a verfication link in an email in order to delete a blog.

If you want to remove personal information, lock up an account and free up an email address read what follows.
1. You can go to My Account->Edit Profile and remove all data except the account name and an email address. Create a throwaway email address and change the account email to that throwaway address. This only leaves the username behind.
