K2-LITE: remove blog tab

    Hey there.

    So an old chesnut….

I’m using K2-lite. But I don’t want the blog tab that comes in built. I’ve already set another new page I’ve created as my post page, but unfortunately can’t find a way to get rid of the blog tab. I’ve read elsewhere that this is hard-coded in. Is there not a way using CSS to either:

    a) Remove it altogether
    b) Change its title to something else, like ‘news’

    Any assistance much appreciated.

The blog I need help with is davidfarnham.wordpress.com.

I assume this is the blog you are talking about, http://davidfarnham.wordpress.com/ . You cannot remove or rename that tab. It is defined in the underlying theme files and we cannot change or modify those.

With some CSS knowledge, and the paid CSS upgrade, you could remove the entire top navigation if you wished, but not just one tab.

This blog post by Panos lists which themes have a home/front page/blog tab, and which do not: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/05/06/the-home-tab/ .
