Layout and post previews

When I publish a post, only a preview of the post will be shown on my homepage. No HTML or colour coding or inserted images will appear in this preview, you need to open the post to actually see this. I was wondering if there was a way to change this (other than changing the theme)? Thanks in advance.

The blog I need help with is starcraftadventures.wordpress.com.

The theme you use Hemingway is coded to display only excerpts from two posts on the front page. Are you open to moving to another theme?

I ask this because we cannot access and edit the underlying HTML and PHP in the theme template. On a wpMU wordpress multiuser blogging platform all who use the same theme are, in essence, sharing the same underlying template. So, if you could change the way you blog is displaying whatever change you made would be made to all other blogs with the same theme.

You can override Hemingway’s default – see here:
