Like Button, how to get it when you've a domain by yourself?
first of all, I’m really sorry because of my English skills, I’m from Germany and hadn’t any practise for 12 years. Now my question:
I use a domain by my own, not a wordpress Domain. But the software is from wordpress. Now I wanna install the Like Button Plugin, but I don’t know where to search it. You know which I mean? The yellow one which shows you the WordPress-User that push it.
Could anybody gimme a hint or a direct link?
Thanks a lot,

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you’ll find help at the WordPress.org forums.
If you don’t understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.
If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It’ll help people to answer your question.

Hey Wall-e! :-)
Sorry, the blogadress is: http://iranique.de/
I’ll searching for solving my problem on wordpress.org, too. Thanks for the hint. But if anybody does know the answer for my problem would do me a favor to write it down here nevertheless.
Having migrated from .com to .org myself over the last couple of days I’ve been wondering the exact same thing. Where is the ‘like’ button option?
Now that I’m self-hosted I’ve discovered lots of things didn’t ‘seamlessly’ transfer as both wordpress and my new website host (Dreamhost) promised.
Apart from losing subscribers and having to rebuild my theme I also had to search for the ‘Jetpack’ in order to get stats back. Also, despite suggestions to the contrary, Jetpack does not provide the like button for fellow bloggers to easily click.
It’s enough to drive a man to drink! Though that would kind of ruin all my good work at Year Of Living Sober!
Hi to you two. As the supportbot says, if you’re self-hosted, you need to ask all of your WordPress-related questions at http://wordpress.org/support/
I might sit back and wait for a Jetpack update now. Surely, they’ll add this feature to the next version?
I don’t expect that. Here’s the reason why. The ‘like” button is for members of online communities. All free hosted WordPress.com bloggers are members of the WordPress.com blogging community. By virtue of their same hosting they have “like” buttons they can use to recognize other blogs in the same WordPress.com community.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate. Those with WordPress.org blogs are bloggers who have free standing self-hosted blogs. Their blogs are not members of the WordPress.com community, so they don’t have the “like” button that blogs in the free hosted WordPress.com community do have.
