Limit number posts on front page

  1. Hi, I would like some posts to show on my home page, but some not. Is there a way to limit the number of blog posts on my front page? Or some other way to do this? I'm using the theme 'Visual'. Can't find any way to customize this!

The blog I need help with is

  2. Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most __ posts
    "save changes"

  3. That's very simple, thanks!

  4. Doesn't work :-( Or do I need to wait for some time?

  5. It works. Clear your browser cache, and remember to scroll down on the settings page and Save the changes.

  6. Nope, still the same problem. I made the 4 items I want to show on my homepage sticky, changed their date to most recent, but no effect. Maybe there's a bug in the theme?

  7. I'll tag this thread for Themes Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  8. Howdy! It looks like you're currently using a static front page, not posts, so you're only going to see one page's content on your home page.

If you choose to display posts on your home page, and infinite scroll is enabled, you'll only see 7 posts load at a time. You can read more about infinite scroll (as well as how to disable it) here:

  9. Hi, thanks for your help. I already found myself a work around because i couldn't get this limitation on the front posts page to work. (Also, I didnt like the appearance of the category page/post). So I turned everything into pages and made a static page as homepage. This works fine for me.
So this infinite scroll overrules the number of posts to show on the front page?
Anyway, although in a different way, it's solved :-)

  10. Hi there - great, glad you found a workaround! Yep, infinite scroll does overrule that. You can turn it off if you like. :)
