Livejournal importer and images

  1. Hello,

    I have imported a livejournal blog, and it seems to have gone ok apart from problem. All of the image tags have been stripped
    down to just <img>. Is there any way to resolve this?

  5. I have the same problem as detailed above, and I see it's not been resolved for the OP either. In my case, I've been told by support that the issue has been forwarded to the folks responsible for the import tool - but I've not heard news in some days.

    Meanwhile, I've already purchased a domain / mapping under the assumption that this was a fully supported feature.

  6. Give support a little time on this to sort it out. I'm sure they will get it fixed just as fast as they can.

    So I thought I'd point out that the problem is not unique to him.

  10. Helpful to know! Nevertheless, this is the 'support' forum, and it's understandable that someone would try their luck in obtaining assistance here. Though <i>I</i> have contacted staff, perhaps not everyone who encounters this bug will think to do the same. Thanks!

    In any case, a little awareness surrounding this small issue won't hurt anyone: The import tool is not fully functional.

  11. Hi everyone - just to let you know, I'm working on a fix for this problem, which seems to be affecting a few different people.

    I'll post an update on this thread (and to the people I'm talking to via the support system) once we have a fix in place.

  13. Yes, beau is doing some work for us and he wrote the new LJ importer.
