Locked out of one of our blogs.
We set up a WordPress blog for one of our authors, but now no longer see it under our “Manage Blogs” list. Our author is listed as an editor but needs to be changed to administrator. Without access to his blog we can’t make the change. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.
It’s possible that the blog is hidden. Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility
I’ll give it a try. Many thanks!
If you can’t locate it then post again and provide the URL please.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work. The URL is http://agodthing.wordpress.com. We are still receiving “Please Moderate” emails in our Inbox, but when I click on the link to access the comment for the blog, I receive the following:
“You are logged in as “jebaire7” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “It’s a God Thing…”. If you are not “jebaire7”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “jebaire7” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.
I am the administrator, so I can’t invite myself.
You have to be logged in under the username account that registered the blog in question in order to access it. I have flagged this thread for Staff attention.
Yes, thank you for flagging. Jebaire7 is the correct user name.
jebaire7 is not a user on http://agodthing.wordpress.com/
You’ll need to access the blog as the correct user.
Macmanx, thank you for your response. I’m the only one who has ever had access to setting up our author’s blogs. If it is not under Jebaire7, how can I find out what user ID it’s been listed under? If it was not listed under Jebaire7, it was done in error.
jebaire7 was never a use on that blog, so it must have been another account.
Please visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword and click “Need More Help?” if necessary.
The problem has been resolved. We found the original user ID. Thank you for giving me direction.
