Logo Is Whited Out

  1. Hi and thanks in advance for the help. I created a circular logo for my daughter's theater group. It's bright and colorful and pretty. When I look at it in the media library it looks the way it's supposed to look. But when it is placed as the "header image" it looks all whited out. Can someone help me with this?

  2. Does this image troubleshooting section on Color Profiles sound like it applies?

  3. If that does not resolve your issue you can type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? Then please subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

  4. Thanks for the suggestions timethief. I did check the color profile and they are within the specified parameters. Perhaps I can have a #modlook at this?

  5. Flounder overlays a translucent white on the header graphic so that the Site Title text displayed in this area will be visible against any background image.

    .custom-header .site-branding {
        background-color: rgba(236, 240, 241, 0.5);

    If you prefer to remove it, this custom CSS will do the trick:

    .custom-header .site-branding {
        background-color: transparent;

    Custom CSS is available with the Premium or Business plans.

  6. Oh bummer. So I cannot make this change without upgrading to the Premium or Business Plan? This is just my daughter's high school theater troupe. They don't have the money for investing in upgrades.

  7. And thank you for responding. :-)

  8. Right, this is how the theme is designed.

    If upgrading isn't an option, you might want to look for a theme that supports the site logo feature, and use that instead of a custom header:
