Looking for theme installer

    I am a beginner here and I am very lost. I have a blog http://www.viewfrom40.com on wordpress.com. I also have a theme/template that I want to install.

Can someone please point me in the right direction? I have bought the custom CSS upgrade. I realize I am probably more than a little bit in over my head, but can anyone help.

My other option, and I am not sure if it is OK to ask this here but can anyone refer me to people who do the installation for me. I realize this would be a freelancer and probably not sanctioned by WordPress but I am really desperate.

The blog I need help with is viewfrom40.com.

We cannot add themes at wordpress.COM. We are limited to the 145+ (and growing) themes found in the dashboard under appearance > themes. Themes found on the internet are for self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.

Themes at wordpress.COM have to be modified to work within the restrictions here and to support the unique features. Themes straight off the internet (which are for self-hosted blogs) will not work here.

The differences between wordpress.com and wordpress.org sites.

The Custom Design Upgrade will allow you to stylize the themes here, but it does not allow you to change the functionality (or upload themes). CSS is also themes specific so you cannot use the CSS from one theme with another theme. WordPress has provided a CSS preview function you can use to try out changes before taking them live.

Oh boy. I originally had http://viewfrom40.wordpress.com and then bought the www URL.

So does anyone have a self hosted blog that they want a theme for? LOL I now have this theme http://themeforest.net/item/luxury-wordpress-template/83220 that is apparently of no use to me!

Would be more than glad to share…Apparently I have a lot to learn!

    Thanks everyone!
