Lost Post Revisions in Beep Boop Editor
I was working on revising a page (not a post) and every few minutes I was clicking the “Save Draft” button to ensure the security of my progress. Something happened to my keyboard so I refreshed my page. When the page loaded, all my progress was gone, the page was reverted back to the original content. Where is my saved draft? I looked up help sites that show how to access 25 recent revisions, but my WordPress site does not look the dashboard of that helpsite. I’m at a loss. Even when it said, ” A more recent version of this page is saved in your browser” and it lets you click the “restore” button, my content is still not there. It’s very frustrating!
The blog I need help with is modernethereal.com.

I’m sorry you’re frustrated. What you described about clicking on the “restore” button and still not being able to see the latest version of the content probably means it was overwritten for some reason. I’m really sorry about that!
Currently, the 25 most recent revisions only work for updates to previously published posts, not when you click “save draft” for those kinds of posts. Unpublished drafts behave differently, an a revision is stored each time you click “save draft” on those posts. This is the same for both versions of the editor. In case it helps at all, WordPress.com does have plans to improve how auotsave works in the new editor and the changes should be out before the end of the year. I’m sorry I don’t have any better new than that for you though!
Another frustrated user. Suddenly I am missing all my post since March. I wish I’d never gone near that Beepy boopy nonsense. “Improved posting experience” it is not. Lyn Field
Missing all posts since March sounds like a different issue. Was it only drafts that were missing or published posts as well? That doesn’t sound like something that would have been related to the editor at all, but I can do my best to help you sort it out if you still need help. Let me know!
