Hi all. I am fairly new to WordPress.com so I’m sorry if this is fairly obvious. I have tried searching the forums but with no luck.

In my blog darjon.wordpress.com I use the <–more–> tag to only show the first paragraph of the post on the front page, but this also cuts the rest off in the RSS feed, which means people using something like Google Reader to subscribe to my blog will have to click on the read link to read the whole thing instead or reading it all in Reader.

I wondered if there was a way so that when I insert the <–more–> line it only cuts the rest off on the blog and not on the RSS feed as well.

    Thanks in advance.

No, that’s just the way it works; if you use the <–more–> or <!–nextpage–> tag it will cut off the post on both your front page and in readers. I don’t know of any way to stop it doing that on WP.com blogs… I think you’ll just have to work out a balance to suit your readers, like using <–more–> for certain posts. Hope that helps.
