Mac Users Cannot Right Click
If you would like to right-click using a Mac mouse, press the “control” key and click like you normally do.
That should do it.
WordPress is also experiencing some technical difficulties, which prevents users from doing several actions.
I don’t know that you can right click to edit links on any computer within the wordpress editor. Generally you have to highlight and then click the edit/add link button in the editor toolbar.
Yeah, I just tried it and wordpress does not have their own contextual menus.
thanks for all the help guys! i guess now i am just having the issue of adding photos to my post. my computer won’t let me click the little camera and music note icon to add photos to my post. is that a part of the technical issue wordpress is facing? or is that because i have a mac?
or is that because i have a mac?
Unlikely because of your Mac – it looks like many people are having the same problem
It sounds like a problem similar to what others are posting about. I use a mac and have not experienced any trouble so far. That’s why I was asking people where they are trying to post from (in the sticky post up top). All a mystery…
I am on a Mac also. If you are using a Macbook with the button-less trackpad, you can “right click” by clicking with 2 fingers at the same time. :)
There is obviously some sort of major “UH-OH” going on at wordpress.com at the moment, and I’m sure staff are working on the problem. We’ll just have to be patient for a bit. If you look through the forum front page, you will find any number of different issues right now, so this is a system-wide problem.
I wish I had more to offer you, but that is the best we volunteers can do at this point. Hopefully staff will respond soon and let everyone know what is going on and when things will return to normal.
thanks for all the help guys! you’ve all been great!
