    Hello,
I have been trying to connect my mailchimp account to my wordpress. I was using this before where I inputed their code into my header and it was working but ever since I changed themes it will not work. Mailchimp has advised for me to add the code in just before the closing header, but that is not working. They then told me to reach out to WordPress instead to get the exact location for inserting the code. I am at my last ends here. Please help.

The blog I need help with is silversecretspublishing.wordpress.com.

I have gone through this already. I do not have the option to add code into that widget. I can only add a title. I have the recommended plugin but it is not showing this option for me.

What is the URL of the site you’re doing this on?

    Ah, there’s the difference. :)

That is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

    I thought I wasn’t self-hosted as I signed up with Bluehost?

How can you tell if you are self-hosted or not? I had assumed I wasn’t since I have a hosting site.

You’re using the self-hosted version of WordPress, and you have it hosted with Bluehost. :)

If your WordPress site is hosted at WordPress.com, then you are using WordPress.com.

If you have WordPress hosted anywhere else, it’s the self-hosted version of WordPress from WordPress.org.
