Main posts page not home page anymore
I want my main front page to be my main blog posts page but I can’t seem to make that happen. I think it was that way by default and I must have messed it up when I edited the “about” page and made it into a regular page.
I tried going to the settings and doing the static page option but it wont let me make my posts page and my static page the same thing. I tried doing something with custom menus but I can’t seem to get that to work.
Is there a way I can just make my posts on my home page again?
In your dashboard, simply go to Settings/Reading and then click on “Your latest posts” (in the first prompt).
But when I do that, none of my actual pages are my posts…
You need to understand that posts and pages are very different. You cannot post to a page. What you do is to categorize your posts then make a custom menu to link to your various categories.

Is there a way to get the “home” page back? I had one before, then I accidentally deleted it. That is all I want.
With Chateau, you header and blog title link to your home page.
With the Chateau theme, there is no link to the home page unless you make a custom menu and label at tab linking to your blog as “home.”
But even if you do that, your posts will show up only on your one dynamic blogging page, sometimes called “front page” or “home page.” You cannot post to other pages.
ah, that makes sense. Thanks. I tried the custom menu thing and it didn’t work so I don’t think I am doing it right, but I will keep trying. :)
Good luck: my last link from Panos’ website discusses some of the problems folks have when setting up a custom menu. A close reading of that might be helpful.
