make 'about me' box go away

  1. I completed my profile, added a gravatar widget which is great!. And then, there at the bottom of every post shows up an 'about me box' with the same text as in my profile and gravatar. After trying everything I can think to try, the box will not go away. I have read it is due to the theme I use. I have also read that there is a code I can insert into customize if I have bought it. And I have. Help!!! The box detracts from the design of my blog!

    The blog I need help with is

  2. Very few themes have an author profile that displays below every post. In most themes there is no such feature and the data derived from here > Dashboard > Users > My Profile > About You (section) does not appear on the blog, it appears appears on your Gravatar profile page only. If you delete the text in that section it will not longer appear on your Gravatar Profile page or in the author profile below each post.

    You can, of course, copy and paste that text it onto a static About page on your blog.

    You can switch to a theme that is designed to display an author profile below each post. For a partial list of themes that provide author bylines and/or author profiles or not see >

  3. I have also read that there is a code I can insert into customize if I have bought it.

    This thread will be moved to the CSS Forum for you where you can get help with CSS editing.

  4. Thank you timethief but ever since I did my profile and inserted the gravatar widget, which works great, there is a yellow box at the end of each of my posts with a repeat of the profile text on my gravatar. I have worked on this all day.. been in the custom design with the CSS, and it seems I have eliminated the box on a few of the posts but not all.. I must be close to solving this .. Can you help me close the door on it. The technicle stuff is not my thing.

  5. I do not assist with CSS editing. Those who do address the threads in datestamp order from the earliest posted to the most recent. You simply have to wait patiently until they get to this thread.

  6. Thank you.

  7. You're welcome. :)

  8. hello timethief,

    not to be impatient, as I am grateful for any assistance that I can
    get with my blog, but, is there any way to find out where my post is at in the thread.
    if not, that is fine.
    Thank you

  9. Hey @aceson92, add this to your custom CSS:

    #author-info-box {
       display:none !important;

    Hope that works :)

  10. Thank you so much mariano! I have checked several of my posts and the yellow box seems to be gone!! I will save what you sent me in case the mysterious box reappears! The gravatar is still working ! Thank you again!
