malware on home page can't access

  1. I am getting a message about malware and can't access the home page at my blog

The blog I need help with is

  2. I went to access my blog today that i work on daily and i got a message saying a site had left malware. it suggested i not try to access in this case my home page and I don't know how to go in and remove, what my next step is, etc. Help please!

  3. Somebody please lend me some help. I went to my blog page this morning and there was an Warning message saying a sit a known distributor of malware and put something on my site. It deterred me from clicking on my Home Page. I can look at other pages of my blog without running into this warning.

Can anyone help explain what's going on to me. I am quite frustrated with this and need to post at my blog.

  4. Warning message saying a sit a known distributor of malware and put something on my site

Locate whatever image or text you have from that site on the blog and delete the link.

  5. See here Google search results to locate the content you have to remove.

  6. Rats! That was a bad link. This one is correct

  7. when i click on that link it sends me back and the warning comes up again about no going further. This is so odd, because I have taken content from this friends website on several occasions and this has never happened. The last graphic was prior to XMAS and this situation is first showing itself now like a month later. HUH?

I can't get to a place to delete the link. Shoot

  8. I appreciate your help..i just am having no success. it will let me go on other pages but can't get to the "offending page" which of course just happens to be my primary HOME Page.....

  9. which of course just happens to be my primary HOME Page.....

The home page of the blog by default is where all Posts not Pages display in reverse chronological order (newest post on top). All posts are found here > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts
Hover over the title of the Post in question and click "edit"

You have a large block of Pages at the top of your blog so if you happen to be referring to one of those Pages, and not a Post, then all Pages are found here > Dashboard > Pages > All Pages. Hover over the title of the Page in question and click "edit"

  10. You're no gonna believe this but here goes. First my HOME Page never shows up as one of the choices when I am on my Dashboard and then go to All Pages. It just isn't listed ever. Like a default position I have to go to another page then click on Home Page tab to get there.

So I went into to Post pulled up all posts then found one of the posts that has info from the questionable source. I clicked to edit it and when I tried to go there..again same warning to stop message. YIKES!

  11. This is your home page

  12. Hi there,

I don't see a warning and am able to access your site just fine.

I noticed that you have approved many comments from lista de emails sources. Could you please not do that? They are not legitimate comments, and it will continue to cause issues if you unspam comments.

I hope you were able to resolve this with Timethief's help, but if you need anything further please just let me know!

  13. My client is having the same problem and has been for 2 weeks now. The blog is Manningtonathome. We get the malware virus warning and if we click on the link anyway, this message pops up:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare debug_fopen() (previously declared in /home/content/15/7433615/html/wp-includes/functions.php:1133) in /home/content/15/7433615/html/wp-includes/deprecated.php on line 2883

We cannot get to any post on our blog nor the admin page. What can we do? We need to fix this w/o further delay. Thanks for any advice you have.

  14. Help us please someone--anyone.

  15. I had to notify the origin of the malware to get it fixed/removed. It was a graphic that something had gone wrong with after 2 months being at my home page. They gave me new code for it. Once I deleted the old code and substituted the new everything was fine including my post.

Hope that helps. You have to know the origin of the malware

  16. Manningtonathome is not a URL. What is the URL?

  17. Hi Carla,

I get a "that page doesn't exist" message when I check the link you included. Does it have a typo?

  18. Hi, Zandy:

We got the home page for the blog to pull back up but the malware virus box pops up everytime we click on one of the blogs. Here's the link so you can see what I'm talking about:

  19. @cjbauer1
That site is not a free hosted WordPress.COM blog. It's hosted by godaddy. We provide support only for free hosted blogs here. Support for your website is provided on the WordPress.ORG support forums and they are here If you don't have a username account at, click that link and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the correct support forums for your software.

  20. P.S. Note that doesn’t exist

  21. Time thief: I had a typo in the address I gave you. It should be:

That blog has existed for nearly 3 years and still does--we just can't get past the home page nor into our admin page because of the malware virus warning that popped up over 2 weeks ago.

  22. Hi Carla,

I checked your whois (which tells us some information about the subdomain you mapped) and it looks like the nameservers for the domain are not pointed at currently.

You'll need to log into GoDaddy and update them so that they correctly point to

Here's some more information on how to change your name servers:

    I hope that helps!
